Cliff -  04-17-2021 04:26
So far, so good.   Eager for   in-person shows to resume

-  04-17-2021 04:26
Same. It is nice being able to do this from the comfort of the office but not quite the same as the real thing.

Cliff -  04-17-2021 04:27
I love cruising the tables, looking for bargains

Jon M -  04-17-2021 04:28
     Hello from Georgia too!

Any chance of y'all doing more transition era C&O stuff in N scale? Would be nice to see the S2 painted in C&O... or maybe some GP7s. :)

-  04-17-2021 04:28
Too right. It's fun seeing what all the tables have.

Cliff -  04-17-2021 04:29
I have accomplished a lot with the layout over this past 'year-of-plague'

-  04-17-2021 04:29
Hi Jon. I will pass along your request to R&D. THey're always looking for suggestions for paint schemes.

-  04-17-2021 04:29
Cliff: I bet. That's the only good thing about it. Catching up on a lot of stuff around the house.

Jon M -  04-17-2021 04:29

Apple Napkin -  04-17-2021 04:30

     Good Morning Everyone

Trishy3202 -  04-17-2021 04:31
Will the MTH be able to have TMCC ?

-  04-17-2021 04:33
Trishy: That is undecided at this point.

Paul -  04-17-2021 04:33
Are you putting PS3 in HO Diesels

Jay -  04-17-2021 04:34
Hello  Recently Patrick's Trains ran a special run of MTH Premier Santa Fe Black Bonnet ES44s.   They ordered 48.  They were sold out in 72 hours.  And the store said the demand far exceeded the supply.  Usually the dealer would go back to MTH to order more units, but not in this case because you now own the ES44.  When you do the ES44, you might consider doing this version again.  I believe it would sell very well.

-  04-17-2021 04:34
Paul: At this time we are proceeding with ESU in our HO diesels.

Steve -  04-17-2021 04:34
When will be see Mark V ho switches available?

Jack L -  04-17-2021 04:35
Hello Jarrett :-)  I live in NJ am getting back into the hobby after many years.  Does Atlas have a store in Hillside?

-  04-17-2021 04:35
Steve: The first shipment has come in so they should be in the wild now or at least shortly.

Steve -  04-17-2021 04:35
     Great  Thanks

-  04-17-2021 04:35
Jack: Negative. We do not have a storefront. Just our warehouse.

Jack L -  04-17-2021 04:35
     Thank you.

     Welcome.

Trishy3202 -  04-17-2021 04:36

Dave -  04-17-2021 04:36
Jarrett  you are doing great about 75 people on your page right now

-  04-17-2021 04:36
Trishy: I will pass the word along to R&D for you.

JordanK4501 -  04-17-2021 04:37
Is there any chance of getting N scale GP38-2 with ditch lights?

Paul -  04-17-2021 04:37
So you use ESU for Sound and DCC power.  What did you use before?   Why did you switch.

Roger T -  04-17-2021 04:38
Production schedule for HO Gunderson boxcars, now TBA?

-  04-17-2021 04:38

Back in August 2019 I preordered an ho gold Fairbanks Morse H16-44 in Southern RR. Do you have any updated info on this loco's arrival date? Am I waiting for something that is not coming?

-  04-17-2021 04:54
Srrman: They are being produced. I don't have a specific delivery date on them though.

AllTrains21 -  04-17-2021 04:55

This is a chat room but we are moderating comments.

JHF -  04-17-2021 04:59
What about MTH HO products. Everything I’ve heard Atlas talk about today has been O scale.

JFisher -  04-17-2021 04:59
Are future Atlas O scale engines being equipped with PS-3?

-  04-17-2021 04:59
We did not get the MTH HO Products, JHF.

-  04-17-2021 05:00
Jfisher: It is a possibility. So far the acquired MTH locos are the only ones planned for it.

JHF -  04-17-2021 05:00
Okay. Thx. Now I remember: Scale Trains got that line.

AllTrains21 -  04-17-2021 05:00
     U-BOATS

AllTrains21 -  04-17-2021 05:01
     MTH is awesome

Apple Napkin -  04-17-2021 05:01
i gonna have to get one of those u-boats

David -  04-17-2021 05:02
I have a question about the automated turntable. The turntable track frequently loses conductivity..which is restored by poking a paperclip end into one or both of the contact points. I was wondering if you have a suggestion for a substance to drop into those little holes to maintain contact?

-  04-17-2021 05:02
David: I don't have a solution myself but if you contact Billy at 908-687-0880x7132 he can help you

Mitch Montreal -  04-17-2021 05:03
Hi Atlas Mods! I have a specific product question. I'm looking for a Canadian National GP9RM (chop nose) in N scale. I've read that in 2004 Life-Like made them, and that Atlas has since acquired the tooling in 2019. Would you know if this is true and is there any chance that a new production run of these locomotives will be launched in the future?

David -  04-17-2021 05:03
     Thank you.. I will.

-  04-17-2021 05:04
Hi Mitch. If we have the tooling, we will  be making them. I could not tell you when but will pass your suggestion along.

HOBBYSPEED -  04-17-2021 05:04
Will you be producing the DCS system since your engines will have PS3 in them or did that go to a different company?

Mitch Montreal -  04-17-2021 05:04
Great, I appreciate it! Enjoy the show

AllTrains21 -  04-17-2021 05:04
     I love those cars

-  04-17-2021 05:05
     Thank you too!

-  04-17-2021 05:05
Hobbyspeed: We are licensed to sell it but production as far as I was told remains with MTH at this point in time.

JML -  04-17-2021 05:06
Hello Atlas, would you all consider producing DCS for HO Scale? I realize I'm in the minority, but I exclusively run DCS locos in HO. Any input you could provide would be appreciated. Thank you for your help.

-  04-17-2021 05:07
JML: I don't think we are licensed to produce it for HO scale. Sorry.

JML -  04-17-2021 05:08
Okay, thank you for letting me know.

Bitz -  04-17-2021 05:08
Any plans to rerun the center partition cars?

-  04-17-2021 05:09
Bitz: I don't know offhand but I can always pass the request along. Any particular road names?

JFisher -  04-17-2021 05:10
With Atlas having license to PS3, will Atlas O scale engines be able to run on the DCS system?

Loonqwaul -  04-17-2021 05:10
Any plans for n scale GP20 s in NYS&W pre 1976 yellowjacket paint?

-  04-17-2021 05:11
Jfisher: It's possible but I don't think a decision has been made on Atlas O engines other than the MTH ones using it.

-  04-17-2021 05:11
Loonqwaul: I can pass the suggestion to R&D for you.

Bitz -  04-17-2021 05:13
I am interested in TTX and Willamette and Pacific on your website

-  04-17-2021 05:14
Bitz: I Shall pass the word along. We've done reruns before so it's definitely possible.

Bitz -  04-17-2021 05:15
Thanks i will watch for preorder news!

Matt -  04-17-2021 05:16
i heard someone talking about ho csx pride in service cabooses that you announced? but i cant find anything about them on your website. Can you confirm?

Jack L -  04-17-2021 05:16
     Very cool!

Metra Racetrack -  04-17-2021 05:17
Is there an ETA for the HO MP36?  Can't wait!

-  04-17-2021 05:18
Matt: Those are a special run for Trainworld

John Cody -  04-17-2021 05:19
Hey Jarrett, I'd love to see Atlas do some buffer cars for tank trains in O scale. I think the MTH airslide hoppers would be a great car to do these in.

-  04-17-2021 05:19
MetraRacetrack: We haven't announced the paint schemes yet officially so no ETA just yet.

jjrusty66@yahoo.com -  04-17-2021 05:22
Hi I would really love to see Atlas do am ARMN Modern Reefer Car in O Scale!  Thx, Jeff

-  04-17-2021 05:22
I will pass that along, Jeff.

jjrusty66@yahoo.com -  04-17-2021 05:23
Also the beer cars are really cool on your home layout!

kanawha -  04-17-2021 05:24
What is the status of the Atlas O RSD7's? Are these going to have TMCC or PS3 in 3 rail?

John Cody -  04-17-2021 05:25
I look forward to seeing what you guys will do with the new MTH tooling!

-  04-17-2021 05:25
Kanawha: They will have TMCC and are currently still in the production schedule.

Jack L -  04-17-2021 05:26
Can you recommend a hobby shop anywhere along the I-78 corridor between Hillside, NJ and Allentown, PA?  I have no local hobby store.

jjrusty66@yahoo.com -  04-17-2021 05:27
Hi Will your GP38 and GP40's MTH Engines acquired still be available for use on O-31?  Note that having the usage option of 0-31 is one of the reasons why I purchased them in the past; thx, Jeff

John Cody -  04-17-2021 05:27
Thank you for coming and doing this!

Jack L -  04-17-2021 05:27
     Thank you

-  04-17-2021 05:28
Jack L: Check the dealer locator at shop.atlasrr.com

-  04-17-2021 05:29
jjrusty: I can't say but we aren't changing anything on them that I know of so they should still work on O-31

Jim K -  04-17-2021 05:43

Atlas, please please please consider issuing a correctly painted SD70ACe shell that can be used to replace the MTH 20-21499-1 CP D-DAY engine shell.  The recent release came out in Nickelodeon Slime green instead of the correct olive drab and gray.  Have the LED prewired for pull&play substitute.  You will instantly become a hero to many disappointed MTH fans who bought the 20-21499-1.

Hi Kurt. We don't comment on future plans for products. Sorry.

why doesn't anyone model the bulging effect of the plate steel bulging seen on real tender sides and boxcars, gondolas etc? It seems especially visible on long modern cars.

woodesign - if you were to do that every car would have the same pattern

-  04-17-2021 07:17
Locomotive28: which scale? We run those fairly often. If you have road names you'd like to see, let us know.

sseliquini -  04-17-2021 07:18
What signals are currently available for O scale?

-  04-17-2021 07:20
     sseliquini  https://shop.atlasrr.com/c-1026-o-signal-system.aspx?pagenum=1&sort=7

Locomotive28 -  04-17-2021 07:23
I would like to know if the HO scale rs-1's such as rutland or the undecorated models in particular are to be rereleased?

MAXZORIN85 -  04-17-2021 07:23
Any plans on doing F250s in HO or BN B30-7As in HO?

-  04-17-2021 07:24
Locomotive28 - we do not have a delivery schedule from the factory right now

-  04-17-2021 07:24
Max - no present plans for those items.  What year F250 are you looking for?

MAXZORIN85 -  04-17-2021 07:25
any HO vehicle that works for 1990-1995 works besides your Ford Explorer, I have tons of those.

MAXZORIN85 -  04-17-2021 07:26
1990s road names of the ACF 5701-5800s would be groovy too

cnwdon -  04-17-2021 07:26
Can your signal control board with switch machine relay output control Z Stuff for Trains semaphore signal positions on a signal bridge?

woodesign -  04-17-2021 07:26
Tru, but two or three different patterns would be random enough, and could be sold in the popular 'set' packaging. I realize more pattern molds would be needed, but steam tenders probably be a good start, and show if anybody else cared about this. Thanx

-  04-17-2021 07:28
CNW Don - our signal control board should be useable with any signals.  There are positions for common anode and common cathode wiring of the signals.

-  04-17-2021 07:28
Max - I will relay your requests to our Product Development team.

-  04-17-2021 07:29
Woodesign, thank you for the suggestion.  I will let our Product Development team know.

MAXZORIN85 -  04-17-2021 07:29
     Gracias

smalltimecruiser100 -  04-17-2021 07:29
Can Atlas insulated rail joiners be used on Bachmann ez track?

-  04-17-2021 07:30
Smalltimecruiser100 - as long as the rail size is the same, it should be possible.

Portland railfan productions -  04-17-2021 07:35
What is your rating of bachman locos

-  04-17-2021 07:36
PRP - Bachmann is a competitor of ours, it would not be proper for us to comment

Wfme53 -  04-17-2021 07:36

Ron the code 55 line has curved turnouts.

-  04-17-2021 07:52

tony -  04-17-2021 08:09
do you have any idea when will the N scale GP20's and GP40-2's available. thanks

RidgeRunner -  04-17-2021 08:09
A suggestion for future products in O would be the SD70ACU rebuilds from the SD90MAC.  A number of road numbers available to model including the CP Heritages in block and scroll lettering, the CP Military engines and NS versions built from the UP SD90s.

-  04-17-2021 08:09
tony - we do not have a delivery date from the factory at this time - as soon as we do we will post it to our delivery schedule

-  04-17-2021 08:10

The Wizard of BC -  04-17-2021 08:58
Thank you, I did not really expect that you would but many Model railroaders I speak to wish that N Scale pre-1900 items were available.

-  04-17-2021 08:59
Skylark - we have done them in the past  http://archive.atlasrr.com/HOLoco/arc-hogp40-2w.htm

The Wizard of BC -  04-17-2021 08:59
It is a niche that is not well represented today.

-  04-17-2021 08:59
Wizard - the last run we did was not as popular so we haven't run it in a while.

The Wizard of BC -  04-17-2021 09:00
Yes, I know I have three of them.

The Wizard of BC -  04-17-2021 09:01
But then, most of the folks I hang out with model straight analog layouts in coffee tables and other small applications.

The Wizard of BC -  04-17-2021 09:02
I thought I would ask.  It can't hurt.  Thanks for the answers.

reading lover -  04-17-2021 09:34
Is the ' ESU ' decoder found in the latest Atlas GP39-2's different than the LOK Sound found in the MP15 DC?

-  04-17-2021 09:37
There have been different decoders used over the years, some were even QSI, so it is best to check with the Customer Service people
